LITHUANIA’S MINISTER OF FOREIGN AFFAIRS WELCOMES THE REGISTRATION OF THE BELARUSIAN DEMOCRATIC MOVEMENT

On 17 December, Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Belarus registered a democratic movement “For Freedom”, the leader of which is Alexander Milinkevich.
“Lithuania welcomes such a step of Belarusian authorities towards democratisation of this country and normalisation of its relations with the Euro-Atlantic community. We hope that other movements and organisations will also have conditions to register and act freely in Belarus,” Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania Vygaudas Ušackas indicated.
