LITHUANIA’S MINISTER OF FOREIGN AFFAIRS RECEIVED THE OUTGOING AMBASSADOR OF THE SLOVAK REPUBLIC
On 28 April in Vilnius, Lithuania’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Vygaudas Ušackas received outgoing Ambassador of the Slovak Republic Ivan Špilda, who is ending his tenure in the Baltic States.
Minister V.Ušackas thanked the Ambassador of Slovakia for his active work promoting the cooperation between Lithuania and Slovakia. The Minister highlighted the Ambassador’s input into the development of relations between both countries in the areas of science and culture.
During the meeting, important bilateral and European issues were also discussed.
Ivan Špilda was appointed as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia in 2005.
Embassy of the Slovak Republic to the three Baltic States is based in Riga.
