LITHUANIA’S MINISTER OF FOREIGN AFFAIRS RECEIVED THE LITHUANIAN AND POLISH ACADEMIC YOUTH
On 15 April, Lithuania’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Vygaudas Ušackas received the best participants of the 11th Student Olympics of Political Science and told them about the important issues of the Lithuanian foreign policy, replied to the questions of the students and acquainted them with the work of the Ministry. Minister V.Ušackas indicated that the Lithuanian diplomatic service needed young, well-educated people, who would speak foreign languages, particularly those of farther countries, such as India, Japan and China.
Students asked
the Minister questions about Lithuania’s energy security and priorities of foreign policy.
At Lithuania’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the young political scientists also visited the exhibition “The Millennium Diplomacy” that is dedicated to the 90th anniversary of Foreign Ministry.
On 15 April, Minister V.Ušackas also received a group of students from Poland’s Jagiellonian University.
The Minister told the students from Kraków about the Lithuanian-Polish bilateral relations. The Students and the Minister spoke about the Polish national minority in Lithuania and the Lithuanian national minority in Poland.
