LITHUANIA’S MFA IS ORGANIZING A SEMINAR ON BUSINESS OPPORTUNITIES IN NORTH AFRICAN COUNTRIES
On 30 April, Lithuania’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs in cooperation with the Lithuanian business confederation | ICC Lithuania is organising a seminar “Business in North Africa: Opportunities and Challenges”. During the seminar, bilateral relations between Lithuania and the countries of North Africa, the EU trade regime with these countries and their political and cultural aspects will be discussed.
The participants of the seminar will be acquainted with the EU’s financial instruments and make benefit from them in North Africa. Lithuanian businessmen, who have developed business relations with his region, will share their experiences.
Due to geographical proximity and historical circumstances, the EU remains key trading partner of North African countries. There is a close political and economic cooperation between the EU and North African countries that belong to the Mediterranean Sea region.
Why the North African market has not yet been discovered by Lithuanian businessmen? What opportunities and challenges await Lithuanian businessmen there? Participants of the seminar will attempt to get answers to these questions.
Active participation of Lithuanian businessmen in the seminar on business opportunities in sub-Saharan Africa that was organized in November 2009 and growing interest of the Lithuanian business in non-traditional export markets encouraged the organizers to hold the seminar on 30 April in Vilnius.
