LITHUANIA’S HONORARY CONSUL IN ALBANIA STARTS HIS ACTIVITIES
On 13 April in Tirana, Lithuania’s Ambassador to Albania Artūras Žurauskas presented the consular patent to Lithuania’s first Honorary Consul in Albania Kastriot Haskaj. According to the Ambassador, the appointment of the honorary consul will promote cooperation between Lithuania and Albania in the areas of economy, culture and tourism.
The opening of the consulate in Albania was attended by Albania’s parliament members, representatives from the Government and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, foreign diplomats who reside in Albania and Lithuanians living in this country.
Lithuania’s Honorary Consul Kastriot Haskaj is an entrepreneur, member of the Albanian Chamber of Commerce. In 2008, he received the Golden Eagle Award, as the best importer of coffee in Albania. The Golden Eagle Award was established by the President of Albania.
