LITHUANIA’S HEAD OF DIPLOMACY RECEIVES CONGRATULATIONS LETTERS FROM CROATIAN, SERBIAN AND TURKISH FOREIGN MINISTERS
Lithuania’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Linas Linkevičius received congratulations letters from his Croatian, Serbian and Turkish counterparts on assuming office.
In the letter, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Serbia Ivan Mrkić congratulates Linkevičius on his appointment as the Minister of Foreign Affairs and stresses that this appointment could give a fresh impetus to the promotion of relations and the cooperation between Lithuania and Serbia.
Head of Turkey’s diplomacy Ahmet Davutoğlu writes that his country will further develop the already existing friendly relations and collaboration between Turkey and Lithuania, and the development of bilateral cooperation in multilateral forums, especially during Lithuania’s Presidency of the EU Council. He also thanks Lithuania for voicing consistent support to Turkey’s aspirations of European integration.
Croatian Foreign Minister Vesna Pusić congratulates Lithuania’s new head of diplomacy and welcomes friendly relations between Lithuania and Croatia, as well as their close and deep bilateral cooperation. The Croatian Foreign Minister also hopes that the two nations will maintain their cooperation in the future.
