Lithuania’s Foreign Vice-Minister Zananavičius and his Greek counterpart discuss strengthening bilateral cooperation

On 9 February, the Vice-Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania Albinas Zananavičius met with the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Greece Terens-Nikolaos Quick and discussed bilateral political relations between Lithuania and Greece, opportunities for promoting economic cooperation, issues related to the Western Balkans region, energy security, and migration.

“Greece and Lithuania are close partners within the EU and NATO. I believe that the visit of the President of Greece Prokopis Pavlopoulos to Lithuania, which is scheduled for the summer, will contribute to the promotion of cooperation in all fields,” said Lithuania’s Foreign Vice-Minister Zananavičius.

The Greek Deputy Foreign Minister Terens-Nikolaos Quick, who is responsible for Greeks abroad (Diaspora Hellenes), is visiting Lithuania on the occasion of the International Greek Language Day on 9 February.

Lithuania and Greece re-established their diplomatic relations on 7 January 1992.
