Lithuania’s Foreign Vice-Minister meets with Turkmenistan’s new Ambassador

On 16 May, the Vice-Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania Andrius Krivas met with the new Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Lithuania Nazarkuly Shakuliyev. The meeting focused on bilateral political and economic cooperation, also on cooperation within the United Nations and other international organizations as well as multilateral forums. Moreover, the officials discussed Turkmenistan’s relationship with the EU.

Turkmenistan’s Ambassador, who resides in Minsk, presented his letters of credence to the President of Lithuania Dalia Grybauskaitė on the same day.

Lithuania and Turkmenistan established diplomatic relations on 21 July 1992.
