Lithuania's Foreign Vice-Minister Grigaitė-Daugirdė met with the Ambassador of Kenya

On 11 February, the Vice-Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania Gabija Grigaitė-Daugirdė met with the Ambassador of Kenya to Lithuania Angeline Kavindu Musili.

At the meeting with the Ambassador of Kenya, the Foreign Vice-Minister discussed the strengthening of bilateral relations, Lithuania's development cooperation projects launched in Kenya and prospects for the future. Grigaitė-Daugirdė stressed that Lithuania and Kenya had great untapped potential to cooperate in the fields of smart technology, renewable energy and education, which were particularly important for the long-term development of both countries.

The Foreign Vice-Minister also thanked Kenya for its continued support of Ukraine and its Peace Formula and encouraged the country to join legal mechanisms, including the Register of Damage for Ukraine. The Foreign Vice-Minister expressed hope that Lithuania and Kenya would continue to cooperate within international organisations in the future, strongly supporting the principles of democracy and international law.

Lithuania established diplomatic relations with Kenya in 1992. Since then the countries have consistently developed bilateral relations in various areas. The Ambassador accredited to Lithuania resides in Stockholm.
