Lithuania’s Foreign Vice-Minister discusses possibilities of enhancing cooperation between Lithuania and Croatia

On 8 February, the Vice-Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania Neris Germanas met with the Chargé d’Affaires at the Embassy of Croatia in Lithuania Krešimir Kedmenec. The interlocutors discussed political and economic relations between Lithuania and Croatia, cooperation and positions on relevant foreign policy issues.

“Croatia is an important and reliable partner of Lithuania. We coherently and jointly work with this country within the EU and international organizations. Moreover, we highly appreciate Croatia’s decision to send troops to Lithuania to contribute to the NATO enhanced forward presence battalion in 2018,” said Lithuania’s Foreign Vice-Minister.

In the meeting, the officials also discussed the importance of promoting economic cooperation and cooperation in tourism, as well as possibilities for Lithuania and Croatia to implement joint EU Twinning projects aimed to transfer their experience among the Western Balkan countries.
