Today, on August 18, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania summoned Qu Baihua, Chargé d'Affaires of China, to protest against the decision of China to impose sanctions on Agnė Vaiciukevičiūtė, Vice-Minister of Transport and Communications of Lithuania, and to suspend cooperation with Lithuania in the field of transport.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs presented to the Chinese representative Lithuania's position that China's unilateral decision was unjustified, violated international law and Lithuania's sovereignty, and demanded to revoke those decisions.
