Lithuania’s Foreign Ministry strongly condemns murder of U.S. humanitarian aid worker
Lithuania’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs strongly condemns the murder of the United States humanitarian aid worker Abdul-Rahman Kassig and offers its deepest sympathies to his family, relatives and all the people of the United States of America.
Despite the threat to his life, Abdul-Rahman Kassig was a selfless humanitarian worker with a relief mission to help the victims of the Syria conflict. Such a respectable deed of bravery testifies to the wish of all people of good will to make the world a better place without the ideology of hatred.
This horrible crime committed by the terrorists of the Islamic State (IS) and their other brutal crimes against peaceful people cannot weaken the international community’s determination to fight terrorism. Those responsible for such crimes need to be brought to justice.
