Lithuania's Foreign Ministry hands a diplomatic note to a Belarusian representative expressing its strong protest over the actions of Belarus

On 27 April, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania summoned a representative of the Embassy of Belarus in Lithuania and handed a diplomatic note expressing its strong protest over the actions of Belarus to liquidate the Lithuanian public association 'Homeland', which has operated for more than 20 years in Pelesa.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, a hearing of the Grodno District Court will take place on 28 April regarding the liquidation of the Lithuanian organisation in Pelesa. The diplomatic note stresses that such actions of Belarus will receive a strict and principled response. Lithuania is going to raise this issue within international institutions.
