Lithuania’s Foreign Ministry announces photography contest “My Photos of Africa”
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania in cooperation with the Union of Lithuanian Art Photographers and “JCDecaux Lithuania” has announced a photography contest “My Photos of Africa”. This contest is one of the events dedicated to mark the UN’s International Decade for People of African Descent (2015–2024) and the Africa Day celebration on 25 May.
As a result, 12 photographs will be selected for an exhibition, which is to be held at Martynas Mažvydas National Library of Lithuania and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. One photograph is expected to be selected for the poster that will promote Africa Day events in Lithuania.
• You can submit no more than 10 photographs as .jpg files to africa@mfa.lt or upload them on our Facebook page by 3:00 p.m. Lithuania time, Monday, 20 March, 2017.
• You must indicate the title, author’s name, date and time when the photo was taken, and location (year, country) for every photo. The contestant must give contact details (email address and phone number), which will not be disclosed.
• By submitting photos the contestant agrees to the terms and conditions of this contest (available here).
A commission, which comprises specialists of art photography, will select the best photos.
The winners will be announced on the websites and social media accounts of Lithuania’s MFA and its partners.
