Lithuania’s Foreign Minister to attend EU General Affairs Council in Brussels
Lithuania’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Linas Linkevičius will attend the EU’s General Affairs Council on 16 December in Brussels, which will prepare the European Council meeting on 18-19 December.
The Ministers will discuss the European Council’s agenda, including the EU’s new investment policy, the situation in Ukraine, the fight against Ebola, etc.
The Council will discuss the EU enlargement based on progress reports, the EU’s role as a strong global player and ensuring the respect for the rule of law.
The Council will exchange views on the Commission’s 2015 work programme and explore ways of improving the EU legislative planning.
