On 13 May, Lithuania’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Audronius Ažubalis sent a message of congratulations to new British Foreign Secretary William Hague.

“I am very pleased that cooperation with NATO allies and the EU partners, nuclear deterrence policy, active role within international organizations and non-proliferation policy will be among your Government’s priorities,” Minister A.Ažubalis wrote.

The Minister trusts that Lithuania and the United Kingdom will continue to cooperate effectively on a bilateral and multilateral basis in solving various issues that are important for both countries. Lithuania’s Foreign Minister invited W.Hague to pay a visit to Lithuania.
