LITHUANIA’S FOREIGN MINISTER RECEIVES THE AMBASSADOR OF HUNGARY
On 23 April, Lithuania‘s Minister of Foreign Affairs Vygaudas Ušackas received Ambassador of Hungary Péter Noszkó-Horvath and discussed bilateral relations as well as issues of the European agenda. Minister V.Ušackas inquired the Ambassador about the measures that the new Hungarian government intended to take in tackling the world economic crisis.
“It is important to coordinate actions and join forces in looking for ways to improve the situation, thus tackling the crisis. We have to be determined to implement our anti-crisis plans”, Minister V.Ušackas noted during the meeting.
The Minister welcomed the initiative of the Hungarian Embassy to tidy up the Bekešas Hill in Vilnius. The hill is named after Gáspár Békés, who was a prominent commander serving to Grand Duke of Lithuania Steponas Batoras.
