Lithuania’s Foreign Minister Linkevičius congratulates Denmark on Constitution Day
On 5 June, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania Linas Linkevičius congratulated the Danish Minister for Foreign Affairs Anders Samuelsen and all the people of Denmark on the country’s national holiday – Constitution Day.
Linkevičius noted that Denmark was a close and trusted partner of Lithuania, and an important NATO ally. Lithuania’s Foreign Minister thanked Denmark for its contribution to strengthening security in the Baltic states. Denmark has participated in NATO’s Baltic Air Policing mission already four times. Danish soldiers will later join the NATO enhanced forward presence battalion.
Lithuania’s Foreign Minister expressed his confidence that the existing close bilateral cooperation between Lithuania and Denmark, as well as the two countries’ joint efforts within the EU, NATO and other multilateral organizations will only intensify, strengthening citizens’ security and well-being.
