Lithuania’s Foreign Minister Landsbergis to visit Italy, meet with Tajani
On 13 October in Rome, Lithuania’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Gabrielius Landsbergis will meet with the Italian Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani. The meeting will focus on bilateral relations between Lithuania and Italy, security challenges facing Europe, Russia’s military aggression against Ukraine, further support to Ukraine, the EU enlargement, migration issues, and the attack on Israel.
During the visit to Italy, Landsbergis will hold meetings with representatives of businesses and research centres. Lithuania’s Foreign Minister will speak about the future of European security at the Istituto Affari Internazionali's discussion.
Italy is an important business partner of Lithuania. The trade volume between Lithuania and Italy increased by 12 % last year, reaching EUR 2.8 billion. Italy is ranked 11th among Lithuania’s trading partners.
