Lithuania’s Foreign Minister Landsbergis to attend the Council of the Baltic Sea States Ministerial meeting in Wismar

On 2 June, Lithuania’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Gabrielius Landsbergis will attend the annual Council of the Baltic Sea States Ministerial meeting in Wismar, Germany. The meeting of foreign ministers will consider how to strengthen joint security in the Baltic Sea region.

The meeting will focus on strengthening the region’s resilience -  energy independence by installing wind farms, protecting critical infrastructure in the Baltic Sea and countering disinformation.
 
Germany holds the one-year presidency of the Council of the Baltic Sea States (CBSS), consisting of the Foreign Ministers of the Baltic and Nordic states, Germany, Poland, and a European External Action Service representative.
