Lithuania's Foreign Minister Landsbergis met with the Ambassador of Ireland to Lithuania

On 18 August, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania Gabrielius Landsbergis received the outgoing Ambassador of Ireland to Lithuania Peter McIvor.

The meeting focused on Russia’s war against Ukraine, the situation in Belarus, challenges posed by migration, important issues pertaining to the European Union and other foreign policy issues.

The Foreign Minister thanked the Ambassador for his personal contribution to the advancement of bilateral relations between Lithuania and Ireland. “We are glad at our deepening relations with Ireland, as well as the cooperation within the European Union and international organisations,” said Landsbegis.

McIvor was appointed the Ambassador to Lithuania on 28 August 2019.
