Lithuania's Foreign Minister Landsbergis bids farewell to Slovenia's outgoing Ambassador
On 30 May, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania Gabrielius Landsbergis met with the outgoing Ambassador of Slovenia to Lithuania Božena Forštnarič Boroje, who resides in Warsaw.
The Foreign Minister thanked the Slovenian Ambassador for her personal contribution to strengthening bilateral relations and expressed hope that both countries would continue to foster cooperation based on shared values and solidarity.
Landsbergis highlighted the importance of maintaining the European Union’s unanimous stance on Russia’s war in Ukraine, agreeing on further sanctions on Russia and increasing support for Ukraine. Alongside humanitarian and military support, Lithuania's Foreign Minister also stressed the need to find ways to help Ukraine export its grain, thus preventing a global food crisis.
Forštnarič Boroje has served as the Ambassador of Slovenia accredited to Lithuania, also Latvia and Estonia since 2018.
