Lithuania's Foreign Minister Gabrielius Landsbergis to visit the United States of America

On March 20-25, Lithuania's Minister of Foreign Affairs, Gabrielius Landsbergis, will pay a working visit to the United States. In Washington, D.C., the Foreign Minister and his Latvian and Estonian counterparts will meet with the U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken. The Baltic Foreign Ministers will discuss regional security issues, the continuity of assistance to Ukraine and the upcoming NATO Summit in Washington, D.C.

In Connecticut, the Foreign Minister will visit Sikorsky Aircraft, a Lockheed Martin company which produces UH-60 Black Hawk helicopters for Lithuania. In Pennsylvania, Landsbergis will meet with Governor Josh Shapiro and participate in an academic discussion on security policy challenges at Gettysburg College.

Landsbergis will also meet with the U.S. Deputy Secretary of State Kurt M. Campbell to discuss the Lithuania-U.S. cooperation on Indo-Pacific issues.

The last time the Foreign Minister visited Washington, D.C., and met with the U.S. Secretary of State Blinken was a year ago – on March 6, 2023.

According to data from 2023, the trade turnover between Lithuania and the United States amounted to 4.8 billion euros, while the United States was Lithuania's fourth-largest trading partner.
