Lithuania’s Foreign Minister Gabrielius Landsbergis to visit Estonia
From 31 March to 1 April, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania Gabrielius Landsbergis will be paying a working visit to Tallinn, Estonia, where he will attend a meeting of Foreign Ministers of the Baltic states and France.
The meeting will focus on support to Ukraine in the face of Russia's military aggression, further sanctions on Russia and key items on NATO’s agenda, including the Alliance's defence capabilities on its eastern flank. Foreign Ministers will also discuss Ukraine’s European perspective, its humanitarian situation and response to the flow of Ukrainians fleeing the war.
During his visit to Estonia, Landsbergis will also attend a conference organised by the Estonian Ministry of Foreign Affairs on the role small states can play inside the United Nations Security Council. This conference will provide members of the UN Security Council an opportunity to discuss the influence of small states in times of big rivalry, conflict resolution in Ukraine and such new security challenges as climate change and cybersecurity.
