Lithuania’s Foreign Minister Gabrielius Landsbergis to meet with the German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock in Vilnius

On 22 April, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania Gabrielius Landsbergis will meet with the German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock in Vilnius.

The Foreign Ministers will discuss bilateral relations between Lithuania and Germany, preparations for the next NATO Summit in Madrid, Spain, on 29 and 30 June, the need for strengthening defence capabilities on NATO's eastern flank, as well as military, humanitarian and political support to Ukraine, including the prospect of Ukraine's membership of the European Union. The meeting will also focus on new sanctions against Russia, ties with Belarus and China.  

During her official visit to Lithuania, Baerbock will also meet with German troops stationed in Lithuania as part of NATO's enhanced Forward Presence Battle Group Battalion.
