Lithuania’s Foreign Minister Gabrielius Landsbergis to attend the OSCE Ministerial Council in Sweden
On 1-2 December, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania Gabrielius Landsbergis is attending the 28th Meeting of the OSCE Ministerial Council in Stockholm, Sweden.
Landsbergis will give a speech at a plenary session. The Ministerial Council will provide the Foreign Ministers of the OSCE participating states an opportunity to review and assess the organization’s activities and strengthen the dialogue on security issues in the OSCE area.
Landsbergis will hold bilateral meetings with the Foreign Ministers of Ukraine and North Macedonia, and the President of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly Margaret Cederfeld on the margins of the OSCE Ministerial Council. The Lithuanian delegation will also participate in various events to discuss the situation in Belarus and Ukraine.
The Chair of the OSCE in 2021 - Sweden - will be succeeded by Poland next year.
The OSCE stands for the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe. The OSCE is the world's largest regional security organization.
