Lithuania’s Foreign Minister Gabrielius Landsbergis to attend the Baltic and German Foreign Ministers' meeting in Riga
On 20 April, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania Gabrielius Landsbergis will participate in a meeting of the Foreign Ministers of the Baltic states and Germany in Riga, Latvia, together with the Latvian Foreign Minister Edgars Rinkēvičs, the Estonian Foreign Minister Eva-Maria Liimets, and the German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock.
The Foreign Ministers will discuss the security situation in the region, Russia's war in Ukraine, relations with Belarus and China, and the main challenges facing the European Union.
The Baltic states and Germany have hosted the Baltic and German Foreign Ministers' meetings since 1996. The last meeting, which was scheduled to take place in August 2021, was postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic.
