Lithuania’s Foreign Minister Gabrielius Landsbergis met with the Director of International Jewish Affairs at the American Jewish Committee
On 15 October, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania Gabrielius Landsbergis met with the Director of International Jewish Affairs at the American Jewish Committee Andrew Baker. Faina Kukliansky, Chair of the Lithuanian Jewish Community, and the U.S. Ambassador to Lithuania Robert S. Gilchrist also attended the meeting.
Lithuania's Foreign Minister welcomed warm and productive relations with the American Jewish Committee and the fact that we were jointly addressing the issues of the preservation of the Jewish cultural heritage and of the perpetuation of the memory of the Jewish victims of the Holocaust. “We will continue to make every effort to find as fast and effective solutions as possible to respond to the expectations of the U.S., Lithuanian and world Jewish communities, as well as to ensure further preservation and promotion of Jewish culture in our country”, said Landsbergis.
