Lithuania’s Foreign Minister congratulates Tajikistan on the 25 anniversary of its Independence
On 9 September, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania Linas Linkevičius congratulated the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan Sirodjidin Aslov on the 25th anniversary of Tajikistan’s Independence.
“I am pleased that cooperation between Lithuania and Tajikistan is increasing and that we continue making joint efforts to develop mutually beneficial cooperation projects in the fields of trade, transport, tourism, education and science,” said Lithuania’s Foreign Minister.
In his letter of congratulations, Lithuania’s Foreign Minister also highlighted the importance of collaboration with the European Union to achieve economic prosperity, to implement democratic reforms, as well as to improve the safety and security of the citizens.
Tajikistan declared its Independence on 9 September 1991.
