Lithuania’s Foreign Minister congratulates Spain on its National Day
The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania Linas Linkevičius congratulated the Spanish Minister of Foreign Affairs José Manuel García-Margallo on the occasion of the National Day of Spain and thanked him for active bilateral relations.
“This year marks the 25th anniversary of the re-establishment of diplomatic relations between Lithuania and Spain. Our two countries have enjoyed excellent bilateral relations and close co-operation in global multilateral organisations over the recent decades. Our partnership has been built on common European values,” reads the letter of Linkevičius.
Lithuania’s Foreign Minister expressed his conviction that Lithuania and Spain would further strengthen the relationship by working together on issues of common interest, such as bilateral political and economic affairs, the future of Europe, security and defence, the European Neighbourhood Policy, human rights, the fight against terrorism and other global threats.
