Lithuania’s Foreign Minister congratulates Macedonia on the 25 anniversary of its independence

On 8 September, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania Linas Linkevičius congratulated the Macedonian Minister of Foreign Affairs Nikola Poposki and the people of Macedonia on the 25th anniversary of Macedonia’s independence.
“Lithuania strongly supports Macedonia on its road to Euro-Atlantic integration. We hail with joy the country’s determination to make a concerted effort to move along this road and to continue to implement all necessary reforms to ensure the well-being of its citizens, as well as to hold free and democratic early elections in December,” said Linkevičius.
Macedonia declared its independence on 8 September 1991.
