Lithuania’s Foreign Minister congratulates Latvia on the 99th anniversary of independence
On 18 November, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania Linas Linkevičius congratulated the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Latvia Edgars Rinkēvičs on the occasion of the country’s National Day – the 99th anniversary of independence.
“Versatile cooperation between Lithuania and Latvia contributes to strengthening of security in the Baltic region, developing of infrastructure projects of strategic importance to both countries, as well as to representing common interests within the European Union,” said Linkevičius.
Lithuania’s Foreign Minister wished in 2018, as Lithuania and Latvia mark their 100th anniversary, to work together to meet the challenges on their path towards reaching the achievements that would strengthen the nations of Lithuania and Latvia.
