Lithuania’s Foreign Minister congratulates Ireland on St. Patrick’s Day

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania Linas Linkevičius congratulated the Irish Foreign Minister Charles Flanagan and the people of this country on St. Patrick’s Day.

“Lithuania and Ireland foster close and friendly bilateral relations, which are enriched by a numerous and dynamic Lithuanian community in Ireland. Both in Ireland and here Lithuanians join in the celebrations for St. Patrick’s Day,” reads the letter of Lithuania’s Foreign Minister.

St. Patrick’s Day is a national holiday in Ireland, but celebrations are held all around the world.

Lithuania and Ireland established their diplomatic relations on 2 September 1991.
