Lithuania’s Foreign Minister congratulates India and the Republic of Korea on national holidays

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania Linas Linkevičius congratulated the Minister of External Affairs of India Sushma Swaraj and the Republic of Korea’s Minister for Foreign Affairs Kang Kyung-wha on national holidays of these countries.

In his letter of congratulations to the Minister of External Affairs of India, Linkevičius welcomed the dynamic development of bilateral relations between the two countries, the growing number of bilateral visits, as well as the annual growth in volume of bilateral trade and the increase in the number of Indian students in Lithuania.

In the congratulations letter to the Minister for Foreign Affairs of South Korea, Linkevičius welcomed the intensifying bilateral relations and reminded about the next year’s political consultation in Vilnius.

Minister Linkevičius repeatedly invited the Minister of External Affairs of India Sushma Swaraj and the Minister for Foreign Affairs of South Korea Kang Kyung-wha to visit Lithuania.

Lithuania and India established diplomatic relations on 27 April 1992. Lithuania and the Republic of Korea established diplomatic relations on 14 October 1991.
