Lithuania’s Foreign Minister congratulates India and the Republic of Korea on national holidays
On 15 August, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania Linas Linkevičius congratulated India on the occasion of its Independence Day and the Republic of Korea on its Liberation Day.
Congratulating the Minister of External Affairs of India Sushma Swaraj and the Indian nation, the head of Lithuania’s diplomacy welcomed the intensifying relationship in the fields of economy, education and culture, and the recent signing of the Memorandum for cooperation in the field of agriculture. Lithuania’s Foreign Minister also invited his counterpart to pay an official visit to Lithuania.
In the letter to the Foreign Minister of the Republic of Korea Yun Byung-se, the Minister Linkevičius noted that this year marked the 25th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Lithuania and the Republic of Korea, and hailed the strengthening ties and the intensifying political dialogue. The head of the Lithuanian diplomacy thanked the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Warsaw for organising wonderful events in Lithuania to celebrate the anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations.
