Lithuania’s Foreign Minister congratulates Estonia on Independence Day
On the occasion of the celebration of the Estonian Independence Day on 24 February, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania Linas Linkevičius sent a letter of congratulations to the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Estonia Sven Mikser, stating that the close and friendly relations between Lithuania and Estonia are based on loyalty to common ideals and goals.
Linkevičius hoped that our bilateral cooperation would continue to grow for the sake of our two nations – the countries would undertake joint efforts to implement regional projects in the field of energy and transport, to maintain stability and to strengthen security in the Baltic region.
Lithuania’s Foreign Minister also wished Estonia all success in its efforts to hold the Presidency of the Baltic Council of Ministers and behind the steering wheel of the Presidency of the Council of the European Union.
