Lithuania’s Foreign Minister congratulates Bulgaria on National Day

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania Linas Linkevičius congratulated the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bulgaria Radi Naidenov on Bulgaria’s National Day and wished prosperity for the people of the country.
Bulgaria gained its independence from the Ottoman Empire and re-established the Bulgarian state under the Treaty of San Stefano of 3 March 1878. This year, the country celebrates the 139th anniversary of the liberation of Bulgaria, as well as the 10th anniversary of its EU membership.
Lithuania and Bulgaria established their diplomatic relations on 10 September 1991.
