LITHUANIA’S FOREIGN MINISTER CONGRATULATES BELARUSIAN FOREIGN MINISTER ON THE 20TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE ESTABLISHMENT OF DIPLOMATIC RELATIONS
Lithuania’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Linas Linkevičius congratulated Vladimir Makei, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Belarus, on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Lithuania and Belarus.
In the congratulations letter, the Minister of Foreign Affairs stresses his belief that both countries will advance their bilateral relations in the spirit of good neighbourhood, mutual trust and cooperation. Linkevičius expresses hope that instruments of the European Union’s Eastern Partnership initiative will be helpful on this path. The Minister also invites to take advantage of all opportunities to facilitate the travel of Belarusians.
Lithuania and Belarus established diplomatic relations on 30 December 1992.
