Lithuania's Foreign Minister Budrys met with the Israeli Ambassador

On 15 January, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania, Kęstutis Budrys, met with the Ambassador of Israel to Lithuania, Hadas Wittenberg Silverstein.

The discussion mainly focused on the situation in the Middle East, bilateral cooperation, remembrance of the victims of the Holocaust, and the fight against antisemitism.

Budrys reiterated Lithuania's support for Israel's right to security and self-defence in accordance with international humanitarian law. The Foreign Minister underlined the importance for Lithuania of stability in the Middle East, long-term sustainable peace in Ukraine, and the restoration and strengthening of the rules-based international order.
