Lithuania’s Foreign Minister bids farewell to outgoing Ambassador of United Arab Emirates

On 26 June, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania Linas Linkevičius received the outgoing Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates Yousif Eisa Hassan Eisa Al Sabri. The Foreign Minister thanked the Ambassador for the support of the UAE institutions for the opening of the Embassy of Lithuania in Abu Dhabi and for his attention to the annual Arab Culture Days in Lithuania.

During the meeting, the officials welcomed the strengthening of bilateral ties between Lithuania and the UAE, and discussed the situation in the Middle East.

The Ambassador resides in Poland. He has been accredited to Lithuania since 2016.

Lithuania and the UAE established their diplomatic relations on 16 October 1992.
