Lithuania’s Foreign Minister bids farewell to outgoing Ambassador of Armenia

On 2 May, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania Linas Linkevičius met with the outgoing Ambassador of Armenia to Lithuania Ara Aivazian. The meeting focused on bilateral relations, firstly, economic and trade cooperation, the Armenia-EU cooperation as well as the situation along the Nagorno-Karabakh line of contact.

Lithuania’s Foreign Minister thanked the Ambassador for his significant contribution to the enhancement of the bilateral relationship between Armenia and Lithuania. Aivazian came to Lithuania in 2011 and set up the Embassy of Armenia in Vilnius.

Lithuania and Armenia established diplomatic relations on 14 August 1991. This year marks the 25th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations.
