Lithuania’s Foreign Minister bids farewell to Head of Office of Embassy of Croatia

On 30 July, Lithuania’s Foreign Minister Linas Linkevičius bade farewell to the outgoing Head of the Office of the Embassy of the Republic of Croatia in Vilnius, Ambassador Davor Vidiš and thanked him for his significant contribution to the development of bilateral relations. Minister Linkevičius also stressed that Croatia was Lithuania’s important partner within the European Union, NATO and in the Western Balkans.

The officials highlighted the highly successful inter-institutional cooperation between Lithuania and Croatia in the field of integration into the EU, implementation of EU Twinning projects and a dialogue on energy and other issues. The officials also welcomed the extraordinary market success of Lithuanian cheeses in Croatia.

The head of the Lithuanian diplomacy discussed his expectations for the two countries to join efforts to advance cooperation between Lithuania and Croatia based on shared values, to strengthen economic, scientific and cultural ties.
