Lithuania’s Foreign Minister attends the 67th session of the UN General Assembly
On 23- 27 September, Lithuanian Minister of Foreign Affairs Audronius Ažubalis with the delegation led by the President of Lithuania Dalia Grybauskaitė participates in the 67th session of the General Assembly of the United Nations.
This session will focus on maintenance of international peace and security and the peaceful settlement of disputes.
The Minister’s agenda of his visit to the U.S. includes bilateral and multilateral meetings, discussions and forums on various topics.
Ažubalis will speak at the High-level Meeting of the 67th Session of the General Assembly on the Rule of Law, UN Democracy Caucus and the EU foreign ministers’ meetings, also during the forthcoming discussion on the future of Europe at the Foreign Policy Association.
The Minister will also participate in the EU28 and the U.S. political dialogue meeting, which will focus on the Arab Spring and the Middle East peace process.
On 28 September in Atlanta, Ažubalis will meet with Kasim Reed, Mayor of the City of Atlanta, and Governor of the State of Georgia Nathan Deal. The Minister will also participate in the meeting of the newly elected Board of the Lithuanian community and with representatives of international business community.
