LITHUANIA’S FOREIGN MINISTER AND MEMBER OF THE EUROPEAN COMMISSION DISCUSSED EU BUDGET ISSUES
On 17 September in Vilnius, Lithuania’s Minister Audronius Ažubalis and Member of the European Commission responsible for financial programming and budget Janusz Lewandowski exchanged opinions on the review of the European Union budget and the upcoming negotiations on a new EU financial framework after 2013.
During the meeting, the interlocutors also discussed the funding of strategic energy projects and the EU’s Eastern Partnership initiatives.
Minister A.Ažubalis acquainted J.Lewandowski with Lithuania’s strategic objectives of integration into the EU’s energy system and projects for the development of the EU’s Eastern Partnership.
