Lithuania’s Ambassador to the United States Audra Plepytė awarded for strong support to Ukraine
On February 24, Lithuania's Ambassador to the United States Audra Plepytė received an award from the Ukrainian National Information Service (UNIS) in Washington D.C. Ambassador Plepytė was awarded with a special "Friend of UNIS" award for her staunch support to Ukraine, its independence and territorial integrity, and standing with the people of Ukraine in their fight against Russian aggression.
Accepting the award, Ambassador Plepytė thanked the Ukrainian people for their strength in this struggle to defend freedom and stressed that Ukraine deserves a just and lasting peace. Ambassador Plepytė expressed her gratitude to Lithuanian people who continue to stand with Ukraine: "This is award goes to all Lithuanians who continue to show their unwavering support to Ukraine with their deeds and continue to believe in Ukraine's victory."
At a ceremony marking three years of Russia's full-scale war against Ukraine, "Friend of UNIS" award was also presented to Congressman Mike Turner.
