Lithuania’s Ambassador presents letters of credence to President of Kazakhstan
On 10 December, Lithuania’s Ambassador Vytautas Naudužas presented his letters of credence to President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev.
The meeting focused on important issues and prospects for cooperation between Lithuania and Kazakhstan. In 2014, the volume of bilateral trade between the two countries reached almost 1 billion U.S. dollars, setting a new record. Lithuanian companies in Kazakhstan operate in transportation, construction, energy and other areas.
Kazakhstan and Lithuania are linked by two container trains “Saulė” (The Sun) and “Baltijos Vėjas” (The Baltic Wind), the latter one carrying automotive parts from Vilnius to the city of Kostanay.
