Lithuania’s Ambassador presents his letters of credence to the President of Kosovo

On 6 March, the Ambassador of Lithuania, Eduardas Borisovas, who resides in Croatia, presented his letters of credence to the President of Kosovo, Vjosna Osmani-Sadriu, during an official ceremony.

During the meeting, the Ambassador and the President discussed security challenges facing the region and the world, the importance of continued support to Ukraine in the face of Russia’s ongoing full-scale war against Ukraine, and opportunities for increased bilateral cooperation in the fields of security, economy, culture and education.

During the conversation with President Osmani-Sadriu, the Ambassador reaffirmed Lithuania’s support for Kosovo’s independence and European integration aspirations. Borisovas stressed the importance of the EU-facilitated Belgrade-Pristina dialogue for normalising relations between Kosovo and Serbia. The Ambassador also emphasised that Lithuania was ready to intensify bilateral ties, increase mutual knowledge, and develop cooperation in digitalisation, green technologies and cybersecurity, where Lithuania was prepared to share its experience.
