Lithuania’s Ambassador presents his letters of credence to the Dean of the International Anti-Corruption Academy

On 9 May, the Permanent Representative of Lithuania to the International Organizations in Vienna, Ambassador Aurimas Taurantas presented his letters of credence to the Dean and Executive Secretary of the International Anti-Corruption Academy (IACA) Martin Kreutner.

The meeting focused on the possibility for cooperation between IACA and Lithuania. The Dean also presented the Academy’s activities and plans for the nearest future. According to the Dean, IACA is the first global organization of its kind that specializes in the collecting and sharing of knowledge and practice in the field of anti-corruption, works to develop anti-corruption initiatives, organizes anti-corruption trainings, and provides technical assistance. Kreutner also expressed his gladness that IACA’s studies program and certificates were recognized pursuant to the Bologna Process.

IACA was established on 8 March 2011. To date, IACA has a constituency of 71 parties. Lithuania became its 63rd party on 21 May 2013.
