Lithuania’s Ambassador presents his letters of credence to President of Tunisia

On 3 March, the Ambassador of Lithuania Dalius Čekuolis, who resides in Paris, presented his letters of credence to the Tunisian President Beji Caid Essebsi.

In a conversation after the ceremony, the representatives of the two countries discussed bilateral relations and prospects for their development, first of all, in the fields of economy and tourism.

On 2 March, the Ambassador also met with the country’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Khemaies Jhinaoui to discuss the state of the bilateral economic relationship, cooperation between Tunisia and the European Union, the situation in the Middle East and North Africa region, other international policy issues.

Lithuania and Tunisia established diplomatic relations on 30 June 1992.
