Lithuania’s Ambassador presented his letters of credence in Morocco

On 19 January, the Ambassador of Lithuania Dalius Čekuolis presented his letters of credence to the Director of the Department of Protocol of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation of Morocco Mohammed Rida El Fassi. In a conversation after the ceremony, the Ambassador noted that bilateral relations with Morocco were important for Lithuania and that the countries had a lot of untapped potential, especially in the field of economy.

The Ambassador also met with Abdeljalil Saubry, Director of European Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation of Morocco. During the meeting, the officials discussed bilateral relations, issues of common interest for Morocco and the European Union, and a number of other important global issues.

Lithuania and Morocco established diplomatic relations on 7 May 1992. Lithuania’s Ambassador Čekuolis resides in Paris, France.
